Cody Westendorf is an herbalist, experienced forager, backyard beekeeper, bodyworker, and mother of 3.

Childhood love for nature and natural motherhood has led Cody on a lifelong journey into the natural healing arts.

Completing a foundational education in medicinal herbalism in 2012, followed by continuing education courses with respected herbalists such as; Jim McDonald, Matthew Wood, 7Song, Margi Flint, Sajah Popham, and others, has enriched her knowledge and continues to fine tune her skills.

Her passion is to share this education and wisdom with those seeking to connect more deeply with themselves and the healing gifts of nature.

What is dirty roots?

Dirty Roots is a name that encompasses many levels for me. Life is not sanitary. In order to do the hard work we need to dig into the dark, get a little dirty. The soil needs healing. We are the catalyst. Roots are grounding. Roots carry the nutrition of the soil. Roots and mycleium are a communication pathway in the forest. Much like dirty roots, we can use the work in the dark soil of ourselves to bring the nutrients needed, and communicate the deepest parts of ourselves. My work involves soil, community, healing, love, and honoring my sensitive and intuitive nature. I hope you get your roots dirty.
